The Special Operations Section provides professional, contract law enforcement to municipalities, state agencies and private consortiums that do not have independent law enforcement capability.  The section commander is responsible for administration and coordination of contracts, Civil Process, Courthouse Security and Transportation, Search & Rescue, Drug Enforcement/Marijuana Eradication, Aviation and Forestland Emergency Services Programs.  Additional responsibilities include on-call response to major police incidents and incident command functions as required.  Contractual agreements for FY 2009-10 include:

• State Parks Dunes Patrol  
• Miscellaneous Special Events
