Lane County Disposal Site: Short Mountain
Short Mountain Landfill, Lane County's only municipal solid waste landfill, is located eight miles south of Eugene on Interstate 5. The landfill is open to pre-approved commercial waste haulers only; no public accommodations exist at Short Mountain. PLEASE NOTE: It is against state law to dispose of TVs, Computers and monitors in the garbage. This material can be recycled for FREE at five Lane County's transfer sites:
Glenwood Central Receiving Station, Veneta, Florence, Vida, or at Cottage Grove. Lane County sites cannot accept more than 7 items, floor-standing units, dismantled items or parts. For more information on the State E-Cycles Law, and other free recycling options in the area click here.
