
Fleet Services operates a centralized fleet shop for all County Units. Our Division is responsible for procurement, maintenance and disposal of County vehicles and heavy equipment. We employ 23 people in Administration,Maintenance & Parts/Procurement. They are further divided into:
- 15 total Mechanics, including:
- 1 Quality Control/Safety Coordinator
- 2 Supervisors
- 3 Parts Procurement Specialists
- 2 Office Personnel
- 1 Manager
Fleet Service Facilities include:
Our responsibilities include servicing, maintenance and custom repair of approximately 377 vehicles and 198 piece of heavy equipment including:
- hybrid sedans
- gas sedans
- 4wds and vans
- heavy trucks
- trailers
- snow plows
- street sweepers
- mowers
- packer trucks and more
We also service, maintain and repair over 500 vehicles and heavy equipment belonging to other government agencies, generating approximately $200k in outside revenue per year.
Fleet vehicles and equipment logged approximately 3,826,085 miles last year. Each fall, we hold a Fleet auction to dispose of surplus vehicles and equipment.
