Adopt A Kennel Program

Greetings to potential participants:

Lane County Animal Services (LCAS) and the LCAS volunteers would like to invite you to participate in a new and exciting program.  The "Adopt a Kennel Program" has been implemented to raise funds specifically for the spaying and neutering of Lane County animals and to fund medical costs for injured animals.

We estimate that the initial start-up costs for this program will be approximately $5,500.00.  Subsequent operating fees should be minimal, which means the major part of your donation will go the animals.

We are requesting a donation of $1,500.00 which will be utilized in the following manner:

1. A portion of said donation will be used to implement the program.
2. Fifty percent of the remainder of your donation will be utilized to provide maximum payment of $65.00 to veterinarians who take in injured Lane County domestic animals. This amount allows the veterinarian to provide treatment which will stabilize the animal until either an owner is located or the animal is released to LCAS.  If an owner is located, the owner is responsible for payment of the fee and the money will be returned to the fund.
3. The remaining fifty percent of your donation will be transformed into spay and neuter coupons with a value of $25.00 which will be distributed to any Lane County resident to assist with the cost of spaying or neutering his/her pet.

All donations to this fund will be specifically targeted for this program and will not be used in any other way.

As a sponsor of this program, your name will be advertised for a year on a 3' x 4' fun mural placed over one of the thirty kennels located at the Lane County Animal Services shelter.  You will also receive an 8 X 10 framed color photo of your mural to display at your home or business.  The shelter has thousands of visitors each year and this is a great way to show your support for Lane County Animal Services, and more importantly for the animals of Lane County.
